Dom Bell has worked in professional theatre for over 20 years, building a career as one of the industry's most experienced Production Sound Engineers. Starting out at Nottingham Playhouse in 1999, he trained across regional and touring theatre — including long spells with Birmingham Royal Ballet, English Touring Theatre and Opera North — before establishing himself in the West End through the 2010s with credits including Top Hat, Uncle Vanya, Merrily We Roll Along and Memphis.
Since 2015, Dom has been Lead Production Sound Engineer on some of the West End and Broadway's biggest titles, among them 42nd Street, Come From Away, & Juliet, Elf The Musical, Bat Out Of Hell and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cinderella. His international work has taken him from Germany (Starlight Express, MJ – Das Michael Jackson Musical) to the Netherlands (Mamma Mia! The Party), Australia and beyond, and his upcoming schedule includes Pirates of the Caribbean at Secret Cinema and a UK tour of Mrs. Doubtfire.
Dom specialises in production and system engineering for large-scale musicals, including Clear-Com communications systems, and is a member of the Association of Sound Designers and Stage Sight.
