Join Tony and Olivier award-winning sound designer and long-time Emma Rice collaborator, Simon Baker for an in-depth masterclass exploring the creative and technical world of sound design for theatre.

Starting with analogue tape and ending with digital techniques (via Pirate Radio, Star Wars, and Doctor Who), we’ll explore the joys and pitfalls of sound design and what

the job really involves. Expect a mix of practical insight, real-world case studies, and honest reflections from a career spent at the heart of bold, imaginative theatre-making.

We’re looking for theatre-makers (aged 18+) interested in exploring new disciplines, sound operators looking to deepen their design skills or directors who want to better understand sound.
