John started his career in sound working in for Theatre Projects on shows such as ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, ‘Jeeves’, and ‘Billy Liar’. He designed the sound for the original ‘Rocky Horror Show’ and worked at the Royal Court Theatre and The Royal Exchange, Manchester. From 1994 to 2014 he was the sound designer for the Edinburgh military Tattoo. Other projects include The Royal Tournament, a Military Tattoo held in Red Square, public celebrations for the Royal Family and the Royal families of Jordan & Saudi Arabia, and sound design for the VE and VJ Day celebrations. He has been a consultant to Pimlico Opera for many years where work includes Les Miserables and West Side Story in HMP Wandsworth.
John has been the sound designer for shows including Crown of Light and Dining with Alice for Artichoke.
John is Head Sound Designer for Imagination, and has worked for all their major clients including Ford, BT, Coca Cola, Holiday Inn Shell. JLR and many others.
