Introduction to MAPP 3D

Merlijin Van Veen Meyer

Meyer Sound Senior Technical Support and Education Specialist

In this session, Merlijn will present a background to MAPP and an introduction of MAPP 3D – Meyer Sound’s latest multipurpose sound system design tool.

Within a discussion of topics including MAPP 3D’s main graphical user interface, Viewports and the importing of CAD & SketchUp files, Merlijn will share tips and tricks to spark conversation on the use of MAPP 3D as a multipurpose sound system design tool that delivers precise, high-resolution predictions of sound energy distribution in three-dimensional sound field.

After studying studio recording and jazz piano at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, Merlijn started his career at the Dutch Broadcast Company doing sound engineering for TV shows such as “Big Brother”. He also worked at Harlekijn Holland, where each year he mixed more than 150 international live performances, before deciding to start his own education program in gratitude for the willingness of others to share their knowledge and experience.
