Introduction to Production Engineering

With Sam Vincent

Sam Vincent talks us through his process and will shine a light on what skills are essential for a smooth production period.

We rarely get to hear the point of view of the Production Engineer, how they do what they do and ensure that everything works for the length of the show.

Sam will be offering us an insight into his methods and showing us how production engineers practically realise even the most whimsical designs.

Not a member, but would like to come to this session? Don't worry! Winter School is open to Association Members, Educators, Young Future Professionals and Students, email us letting us know which category you fit into and we'll let you know the booking code.

Sam has worked in theatrical sound departments for well over a decade working in nearly every job role, as a Production Sound Engineer (PSE) he has worked for numerous designers and in multiple PSE teams all over the world.

Most recently, Sam has worked on shows such as Back to the Future, A Very Expensive Poison, Flashdance, The Wedding Singer, Madagascar, Rocky Horror, Labour of Love, The Night of the Iguana and many more. Sam also works as an Associate Sound Designer and occasionally is both PSE and Associate at the same time!
