Biog
I’m an award-winning sound designer, an experienced audio producer and a composer creating immersive, compelling music & sound designs for fictional and factual storytelling. I won the Best Use Of Sound award at the 2022 BBC Audio Drama Awards and work from my Pro Tools / Dolby Atmos-based studio near Bristol.
Drawing on a huge range of eclectic influences and an extensive network of outstanding live instrumentalists, I compose and record music in a wide range of hybrid styles ranging from sweeping orchestral music to electronica, choral writing and intimate acoustic textural work.
Specialising in spatial and immersive audio techniques, my sound design work ranges from audio drama, podcasts and theatre to work with contemporary music and opera ensembles.
Selected live performance projects:
East Is East, My Brilliant Friend Parts 1 & 2, Spring Storm, Beyond The Horizon, The Holy Rosenbergs (National Theatre); Hamlet (Royal Shakespeare Company); Dark With Excessive Bright (Royal Opera House); Breaking The Waves (Edinburgh International Festival / Adelaide Festival); Touching The Void, Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Oleanna (West End); The Mirror Crack'd' (Wales Millennium Centre / NCPA Mumbai); Good Canary (Rose, dir.
